We are currently seeking a Senior Conflicts Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance team on a full time and permanent business. Our Risk & Compliance team operate on a fully remote basis and foster a collaborative and supportive environment . You will be empowered to work where you work best. This could be fully from your home working space or you are welcome to work from one of our seven offices. Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
- Receive requests for conflict checks from across the firm
- Liaise with fee-earners and secretaries to ensure that you have the correct information to run the check, obtaining information from external sources, such as Companies House, where required
- Run the conflict check using our conflict checking software
- Review the conflict report to identify any entries which match the search criteria and refer any potential conflict to the Onboarding Team Manager or MLRO, recommending an appropriate course of action to protect the firm
- Communicate the outcome agreed upon by the Onboarding Team Manger to the fee-earner and secretary and implement any further actions needed as a result of their decision
- Answer queries relating to the status and progress of conflict checks
- Assist with the training of and provide day to day supervision, mentoring and guidance to members of the Onboarding team processing conflicts checks
- Provide training to the wider firm on Conflicts related matters
- Assist with drafting and updating Conflicts procedures, policies and guidance. Drafting and updating work flows
- Updating the conflicts page on the firm intranet.

This is an important position which carries a degree of responsibility, as it is vital that the client and onboarding checks are run accurately and carefully reviewed.
You will ideally have two years experience in running conflict checks, in a law firm. You will understand the regulatory environment in which we work, and have a good understanding of the conflict of interest and disclosure provisions in the SRA Code of Conduct . You will be able apply that learning to the requirements of the different fee-earning teams in our firm.
You will be managing many different requests and working to demanding deadlines. You will need self-motivation, drive, initiative and great organisational skills.
You will pay meticulous attention to detail in all of your work. Accurate data inputting skills are also essential.

You will be an enthusiastic team player who enjoys helping others and who works collaboratively with colleagues. You will be comfortable dealing with lawyers at all levels and have good communication skills.
