  • About The Role

  • This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Knowledge Services team.  We are seeking a Knowledge Research Analyst to join our team on a full time and permanent basis.

    You will be responsible for delivering legal and business research, monitoring sector developments, providing training on research skills and legal resources. 

    Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

    • Developing specialist knowledge in a strategic practice area, operating as a point of contact for business development research and knowledge requests.
    • Proactively monitor trends and developments and be an expert at curating succinct knowledge updates.
    • Be experienced at scoping and researching opportunities of strategic interest, providing a clear bespoke summary of your findings and highlighting key points of interest and opportunities, to assist with strategic decision making.
    • Working closely with the BDM team to support bids and tender research.
    • Scoping, evaluating, and recommending new BDM research resources.
    • Delivering internal training and knowledge inductions.
    • Providing support for front-line legal research requests through monitoring the team’s 'helpdesk' service to the whole business.
    • Feed into Knowledge budget discussion and renewals – ensuring teams have access to the latest high-quality resources.
    •  Supporting the Information Services Manager with knowledge projects 

     The role is right for you if:

    • Is a researcher and KM professional with a strong working knowledge of legal and business information resources
    •  Holds a library and Information qualification and has proven experience of KM related work in a commercial setting
    • Understand knowledge practices and processes 
    • Adept at building relationships with key divisional and sector stakeholders and BDM team
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience dealing directly with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Possesses excellent organisational skills and can effectively manage conflicting priorities
    • Proactive and innovative approach to work
    • Confident engaging with colleagues and stakeholders and adopts a business partner mindset.
    • Practical approach to problem solving.
